FAQ

What is Volume?

Volume is an annual music festival in downtown Spokane featuring local and regional talent. It’s organized by the Inlander, the weekly paper for the Inland Northwest, and it’s hosted in music venues throughout downtown.

When is it?

It will return 2021.

Which venues are involved this year?

We hope to have most, if not all, of 2019’s venues return. Last year there was Baby Bar (all ages until 9), The Bartlett (now closed), Berserk, The Big Dipper (all ages), Lucky You Lounge, Mootsy’s, Nyne Bar, The Pin (all ages), Red Room Lounge, River City Brewing (garage party), Washington Cracker Co. Building (all ages).

Who played the festival in 2019?

Find the full lineup here.

Where is each act performing?

A venue-by-venue schedule will be released this fall.

How much are passes?

In advance, festival passes are $20 when bought in advance. At the festival, the price is $25.

How do I buy a festival pass?

Tickets go on sale in 2021.

How do I get from venue to venue?

Well, use your own two feet. Or, better yet, display your festival pass and hop a free ride on the festival shuttle.

Are kids allowed? Are they free?

Many of the venues are open to all ages. Kids 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult with a festival pass.

How do you keep the festival passes so cheap? Are the musicians getting paid?

Yes, performers get paid. Volume is able to keep the price low in part thanks to our presenting sponsor, Global Credit Union, and beer partners, No-Li Brewing and Rainer.

What does Volume stand for?

Volume, organized by the Inlander and community partners, strives to create a music festival that is accessible, inclusive and fun for artists, venue owners, volunteers and music fans of all stripes. We believe art and music are essential to the vitality of a community and have always ensured all-ages access to Volume. We value diversity and think everyone should feel welcomed and safe; we don’t tolerate anything that would undermine that. In the end, we hope Volume is a festival of discovery — of new music, new friends and new clubs — with downtown Spokane turned up to 11!

What if a performer I want to see cancels?

We will do our best to notify everyone of any schedule changes, but lineups are subject to change, at any time, without notice. All sales are final.

What is the refund policy?

All sales are final for all Volume passes. Volume reserves the right to cancel any parts of the event, in circumstances Volume deems unsafe for festival goers and musicians. In case of such a cancellation, tickets will not be refunded.
