Honey Bucket’s 2016 album Magical World is a charming slice of the vibrant DIY rock scene happening in Portland right now, where post-punk snarl and lo-fi aesthetic meets woozy acoustic strum-pop and classic indie-rock vibes. But heads up: This scene waits for no one. Honey Bucket has already released another record, Patch of Grass, which doubles down on the wiry, no-nonsense chug. It’s also terrific. Portland remains one of the best music scenes in America, and Honey Bucket is one of the best rock bands in said scene. Don’t miss ’em.
